l RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -002 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, 1' ARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES COLLECTION AGREEMENT FOR THE COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT MUNICIPAL COURT FEES, FINES, AND COSTS; MAIONG OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of October, 2004, authorize the Municipal Court Judge to solicit and receive informal proposals for the collection of delinquent Municipal Court fees, fines, and costs; and, WHEREAS, the'aforesaid Municipal Court Judge has received said proposals, has reviewed same, and has made a recommendation to the City Manager with regard to the award of a Professional Services Collection Agreement for the collection of Municipal Court fees, fines, and costs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Mayor shall be authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest to a Professional Services Collection Agreement, in that form and containing those provisions as shall be approved by the City Attorney, by and between American Municipal Services and the City of Paris for the collection of delinquent Municipal Court fees, fines, and costs. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 10' day of January, 2005.
