434 <br />2. Emergency Operating Center. When major emergencies and disasters have <br />occurred or appear imminent, we will activate our EOC, which is located in the <br />basement of city hall, 150 SE 1 ST, Paris, Texas. -- -- <br />3. The following individuals are authorized to activate the EOC: <br />A. Mayor <br />B. City Manager <br />C. Police Chief <br />D. Emergency Management Coordinator <br />E. Police Patrol Shift Supervisor <br />4. The general responsibilities of the EOC are to: <br />a. Assemble accurate information on the emergency situation and current <br />resource data to allow local officials to make informed decisions on courses of <br />action. <br />b. Working with representatives of emergency services, determine acid prioritize <br />required response actions and coordinate their implementation. <br />c. Provide resource support for emergency operations. <br />d. Suspend or curtail government services, recommend the closure of schools <br />and businesses, and cancellation of public events. <br />e. Organize and activate large -scale evacuation and mass care. operations. <br />f. Provide emergency information to the public. <br />5. Representatives of those departments and. agencies assigned emergency <br />functions in this plan will staff the EOC. EOC operations are addressed in Annex <br />N (Direction and Control). The interface between the EOC and the Incident <br />Command Post is described in paragraph V.e above. <br />6. The alternate EOC is located at the Paris Police Department. This facility will be <br />used if our primary EOC becomes unusable. <br />C. Line of Succession <br />1. The line of succession for the Mayor is: <br />a. Mayor Pro Tern <br />b.
