000742 Regular City Council Meeting May 27, 2008 Page 4 A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Biard and seconded by Council Member McCarthy. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. 12. Deliberate and act on setting dates and times for workshops of city facilities and staff development. City Council scheduled training for Thursday, July 10, 2008 and Thursday, July 17, 2008. They elected to engage in training sessions in the morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. and tour city facilities in the afternoon on both days. 13. Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to Resolution No. 2004 -081. None were referenced. 14. Deliberate on possible future- agenda items. Council Member Strathern asked for an item on goals and objectives on the next two or three agendas and that the City Council receive input from the City manager. Council Member Pickle asked that consideration be given to bringing back the Charter Review Committee for review of Article X. of the City Charter regarding the initiative and referendum sections. Council Member Biard asked for an update on Casa bonita Apartments. Kevin Carruth informed Council it was already on the June 9' Agenda, as previously requested by Council Member McCarthy. Council Member Brown asked for an item regarding the maintenance of drainage ditches on 17`h Street. Mayor Freelen announced that a racially equality meeting was scheduled for June 12, 2008, at the Calvary Methodist Church and everyone was invited to attend. He also announced that the Lake Pat Mayse Water Study Committee would be meeting on May 29, June 5, and June 12 beginning at 4:00 p.m., and he encouraged citizens to attend the meetings. 15. Adjournment. There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Biard and seconded by Council Member McCarthy. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 p.m.
