12/13/12 <br />7.0 EMS: Maintain the highest quality Emergency Medical Service in Northeast Texas. <br />7.1 Plan for a new northwest EMS station. <br />7.1.1 Identify and acquire land in 2013 -14. <br />7.1.2 Design and build a new station in 2014 -16. <br />7.2 Reduce overtime as a percentage of overall pay for high OT earners. <br />7.3 Continue to maintain and adhere to an equipment replacement schedule. <br />7.4 Using an annual aggregate, ensure all expenses are recouped when operating outside of the <br />city and when on transports calls, calculating actual unit costs each year. <br />7.5 Ensure employees offer outstanding service quality. <br />7.5.1 Maintain a top quality training program. <br />7.5.2 Ensure employees are consistently and regularly exposed to frequent activity <br />and "practice" to ensure medical skills remain as sharp and current as possible. <br />7.5.3 Ensure employees maintain excellent knowledge of service area streets and <br />routes. <br />7.5.4 Maintain an employee accountability program. <br />7.6 Plan for and fund the latest technological advances in the EMS field. <br />14 <br />
