12/13/12 <br />15.0 City Clerk: Ensure the highest quality administrative and record - keeping support to the Paris <br />city council, city manager, city attorney, and staff. <br />15.1 Assist the council in creation and activities of a charter revision commission. <br />15.2 Work with department heads and city attorney to review all codes, repealing /modifying <br />those that are outdated and /or are not being enforced. <br />15.3 Continue to emphasize customer service in vital statistics. <br />15.3.1 Provide death certificates and birth certificates immediately upon all in- person <br />requests, and provide one -day turn around on death and birth certificates <br />requested by mail. <br />15.3.2 Ensure proper recordation and filing of all birth and death records. <br />15.3.3 Provide up -to -date birth certificate information for passport regulations. <br />15.3.4 Educate public that birth certificates from any city in the State of Texas may be <br />obtained from the City Clerk. . <br />15.4 Improve public access to municipal records and other data, continually expanding on- <br />line resources available to citizens. <br />15.5 Improve voter participation. <br />15.5.1 Improve continuity of city polling places on Election Day. <br />15.5.2 Continue to combine polling places, reducing to two locations by May 2013 <br />Election Day. <br />15.5.3 Decrease cost of conducting elections by combing polling places. <br />15.5.4 Increase voter turnout by consistently conducting elections at the same <br />locations from year to year. <br />31 <br />
