CITY COUNCIL AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015. The meeting will be held at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows: Opening Agenda 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. a. Citizens' forum. (Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code regarding any item on this agenda. b. Recognition of the Paris Police Department for designation of Storm Ready by the National Weather Service. Consent Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. 5. Approve minutes from the meeting on February 25, 2015. 6. Receive reports and /or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Historic Preservation Commission (1 -14 -2015) b. Traffic Commission (2 -3 -2015) 7. Resolution approving the private re -sale of one tract of trustee tax property (East Park Addition, Block C, Lot 2) to Abner Glover for $225.00. 8. Resolution approving the private re -sale of three tracts of trustee tax properties (East Park Addition, Block A, Lot 12; Block A, Lot 14; and Block A, Lot 20) to Keyon Mitchell for $675.00. 9. Resolution approving the private re -sale of six tracts of trustee tax properties (City of Paris, Block 83, Lot 2 & 2A; Block 84, Lot 16; Block 84, Lot 25; Block 84, Lot 26; Block 86, Lot 2 and Block 100, Lot 4) to Rev. James Price for $1,800.
