B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Bryan Glass, seconded by David Hamilton to approve the variance <br />request. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition Brenda McBay on Lot 9, <br />City Block 46, being located at 223 N. W. 9th Street. <br />A. To grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 9 -201 (])which provides <br />that the "minimum lot width in a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) be no less <br />than 60 feet" this petition is to allow a minimum lot width of 45 feet, which is a 15 <br />foot variance. <br />B. To grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance 1710, Section 9 -601 (])which provides <br />that the "minimum lot side yards in a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) be no less <br />than 5 feet" this petition is to allow a minimum lot side yard of 3 feet and I inch, <br />which is a I foot and 11 inch variance. This request is for the north side yard. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. Two individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Brenda McBay, 223 9th Street N.W., spoke in favor of the petition. Mrs. McBay <br />stated she was seeking approval for the variances for a resource management home. <br />Jim Mitchell, 920 1St Street N.E., spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Mitchell stated <br />he didn't want to lose his neighbor. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Charles Richards, seconded by Bryan Glass to approve the variance <br />request. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />5. Meeting adjourned at 12:16 p.m. <br />APPROVED THE 31sT DAY OF MARCH, 2015. <br />Chairman <br />
