Item 2. Do Not Resusitate (DNR) orders for the terminal patient was <br />again discussed. At the May 16, 1936 meeting, each entitity <br />was to review the legalities with respective attorneys and <br />other staff. It was reported this meeting that there were no <br />objections to the plan as outlined. <br />Plans were made to formalize the program and continue the <br />activation process. It was approved that the plan would be <br />presented to each Hospitals physician staff and then to the <br />Lamar /Delta Medical Society for formal approval. <br />This was to be carried out as follows: <br />(1) A presentation committee consisting of Dr. Bob Schneider, <br />Gene Gandy, and Bill Woodruff would meet Thursday, July <br />31, 1986, 7:30 P.M. at Dr. Schneiders residence to <br />finalize a presentation package /program explaining D.N.R. <br />and mechanisms of use. <br />(_2) Dr. Burt Strom would present the plan to the L.P. McCuistion <br />staff August 12, 1986 at 6:00 P.M. their regular meeting. <br />(.3).Dr. Bill Woodruff would present the plan to St. Joseph staff <br />at their regular meeting August 19, 1986, 6:00 P.M. <br />(4) Steve Burgin E.M.S., will explain the plan to the County <br />Judge and Attorney and also keep the City Manager and <br />Attorney briefed. <br />(5) On September Z, 1986 the presentation committee will present <br />the plan to the Lamar /Delta Medical Society and ask for <br />adoption. <br />Item 3. Gene Gandy requested a discussion of out of jurisdiction E.M.S. <br />involvment, either on duty or in an off -duty mode, for the <br />next meeting. <br />Item 4. The next meeting date for this Advisory group was set for <br />September 25, 7:30 P.M., Chamber of Commerce. <br />Item 5. Meeting was adjourned 3:45 P.M. <br />
