Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 25, 2015 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:10 p.m. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Mike Pendleton, Rebecca Umphrey, Ann <br />Norment, director Priscilla McAnally, and council liaison A. J. Hashmi. Absent were Denise Kornegay <br />and Carol James. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as presented. <br />I. New Business: <br />A. Circulation Policy Revisions: <br />The minimum patron age for a library card will be five years old starting March 26, <br />2015. Prior to this there had not been an age limit on patron cards. <br />B. Membership in the Texas Library Association for the library advisory board has been <br />tabled until it can be determined exactly what the benefits would for the board to join. <br />II. Old Business: <br />III. Presentations: <br />A. No unusual expenditures for February. <br />B. Statistical Report. Both circulation and visits were higher than last year. Circulation <br />increased 1.63 %, and visits increased by 7.65 %. <br />IV. Friends of the Library: <br />V. Director's Remarks: <br />Shifting of the non - fiction collection to make room for the biographies has been completed, <br />and the biographies moved. This has opened up shelf space for the large print books to be <br />moved around creating room and easier access to the books. Some weeding in the juvenile <br />fiction has been completed, and weeding in the mystery section has been started. <br />Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:40 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Priscilla McAnally, Library Director <br />
