Paris —Lamar County Health District 400 West Sherman Street, Paris, Texas 75460 -5646 Health District: (903) 785 -4561 Women, Infant and Children (WIC): (903) 784 -1411 Fax: (903) 737 -0978 www.parislamarhealth.com Minutes of SPECIAL Meeting Paris - Lamar County Board of Health The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a SPECIAL meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 26tH, 2015. In attendance were Dr. Mark Gibbons, Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Keith House, Dr. William George, Dr. Rick Erickson and Mrs. Kristi Graham. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge and Ms. Cheryl Johnson. Dr. Lance Wyche was not in attendance. Dr. Gibbons called the meeting to order in open session at 5:34 p.m. Mr. Collins made the motion and was seconded by Dr. House to approve the minutes from prior meeting as presented. All approved. Mrs. Prestridge advised that she had applied for another DSRIP payment and had met the criteria and had received another DSRIP payment. Mrs. Prestridge also advised that she would like to take a portion of the DSRIP payment and pay off the remaining 20 -year lease with New Hope. Dr. George made the motion and was seconded by Mr. Collins to pay off lease note. All approved paying New Hope approximately $48,000. Mrs. Prestridge presented the Treasurer's Report, Profit and Loss Report, Monthly Client Report, and advised that we had approximately 1516 WIC clients, 96 drive -thru clients, 276 Clinical clients, 2 septic permits and 15 restaurant inspections for the month of December. Mrs. Prestridge advised that the Clinical client number was down from last year, but the Health District was without a FNP for about a month from the middle of November thru December. Mrs. Prestridge also advised that we have approximately $100,000. Pending in payments from the State of Texas and Private Insurance. The Paris Fire Extinguisher has made a request for a list of all commercial kitchens and restaurants in Lamar County. At 5:59 p.m., Dr. Gibbons called Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Keith House, Dr. William George, Dr. Rick Erickson Mrs. Kristi Graham and Mrs. Gina Prestridge to convene into Executive session, Pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee: or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee as follows: complaint against a Paris -Lamar County Health District employee. At 6:26 p.m., Dr. Gibbons, Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Keith House, Dr. William George, Dr. Rick Erickson Mrs. Kristi Graham and Mrs. Gina Prestridge convened into Open session. Dr. Gibbons made the motion and was seconded by Dr. Erickson for Mrs. Prestridge to terminate the employment of Mrs. Charlene Dirks. All approved. Dr. Gibbons made the motion and was seconded by Dr. Erickson to raise the Executive Director to a 44 -4 grade and step pay scale effective on the next pay period. All approved.
