<br />SUBJECT: UTILITIES BONDS PROJECT UPDATE

<br />BACKGROUND: In December 2013 the city council approved a professional services
<br />agreement with AECOM, in the amount of $4,500,836, to provide engineering and related work
<br />for the 2013 utilities bond projects. The original plan was to divide the work into five medium -
<br />sized projects, each bid separately, but with overlapping timelines. This plan has been changed
<br />twice at council direction, making the sub - projects both bigger and smaller, in an effort to
<br />maximize efficiency and encourage contractor participation.
<br />STATUS OF ISSUE: Despite these changes, we again have the project broken down into five
<br />basic components, or sub - projects, all in varying states of progress:
<br />Contract A. B. Bray, $1,852,550. Complete.
<br />7th SW, 4253' water, 100 %.
<br />19th SW, 2601' water, 100 %.
<br />SW Loop 286, 7549' water, 100 %.
<br />Cross country, Washington to Field Rd., 6572' water, 10 %.
<br />3rd SE, 3345' water, 100 %.
<br />Contract B I. B. Bray, $2,425,002. Ongoing/weather delays.
<br />Maple, 1122' water, 98 %.
<br />19th SW, 4898' sewer & 5479' water, 20 %.
<br />W. Houston, 1284' sewer & 1242' water, 95 %.
<br />Battles LF /cross country /Campbell, 11,618' sewer, 25 %.
<br />Contract B2. Pittard, $3,041,970. Awaiting document execution & delivery.
