MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />June 8, 2015 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />June 8, 2015, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; Benny Plata; Steve <br />Clifford; Matt Frierson; and Edwin Pickle <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Larry Wright, Fire Chief, <br />Bob Hundley, Police Chief; Director; Doug Harris, <br />Utilities Director; and Priscilla McAnally, Library <br />Director <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Brad Aldridge gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Lancaster led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Michael Gladfelter, 1345 S.E. 6t' Street — spoke about item 35 and said he was falsely <br />arrested two years ago by Ronica Blake and he was not prosecuted. He said the City should <br />settle the lawsuit and take her badge. <br />Louise Hagood, 556 Fitzhugh — she encouraged everyone to read the article in the <br />newspaper about "In Order to Keep Paris Beautiful, We Needed to First Make Paris Beautiful ". <br />Mrs. Hagood said the City had ordinance in place to do that, but those ordinances needed to be <br />enforced. <br />Rayford Rucker, 3045 S.W. 16th Street — he recommended that Reverend Price be <br />appointed to the PEDC Board. <br />
