Paris —Lamar County Health District <br />400 West Sherman Street, Paris, Texas 75460 -5646 <br />C Health District: (903) 785 -4561 <br />hum+ a COUNly <br />Women, Infant and Children (WIC): (903) 784 -1411 <br />Fax: (903) 737 -0978 <br />www.parislamarhealth.com <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a Regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20th, <br />2015. <br />In attendance were Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Lance Wyche, Dr. William George, Dr. Keith House, and Mrs. Kristi <br />Graham. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge and Ms. Cheryl Johnson. <br />Mr. Collins called the meeting to order in open session at 5:32 p.m. <br />Dr. Wyche made the motion and was seconded by Dr. George to approve the minutes from the prior <br />meeting. All approved. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised that Elda Francis, FNP, had submitted her resignation letter with only a one - <br />week notice and that Donna Callicoat will take over the hours beginning April 27t''. Mrs. Callicoat used <br />the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) completely and does not want any paper charts. Mrs. Prestridge <br />also informed the members that WIC is going to hire another peer counselor and the health district will <br />get a Community Health Worker intern for the next 6 weeks. Also, the health district recently hired Mrs. <br />Kristi Carter to be the clinical LVN. <br />Dr. Mark Gibbons arrived at 5:38 p.m. <br />Mrs. Prestridge stated that we will have two board member positions that will expire on June 30' and <br />we have advertised in the Paris News, Facebook and also on the Paris -Lamar County Health District <br />website. Applications are available at the Paris -Lamar County Health District and website. Dr. Gibbons is <br />eligible to reapply for another three -year term. <br />Dr. Rick Erickson arrived at 5:42 p.m. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised that we received notice of RLSS /LPHS funding for the next two years. Mrs. <br />Prestridge completed a 102 page renewal application for Primary Health Care and submitted to Health <br />and Human Services for review. In the past, all renewals were submitted to Department of State Health <br />Services (DSHS). <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised that at a recent training seminar several counties are starting to add an <br />additional fee onto their customer's water bill to cover some of the cost to spray for and control <br />mosquitoes. <br />Mrs. Prestridge stated that beginning in May, the Paris -Lamar County Health District will send a couple of <br />employees to the Downtown Food Pantry and screen for eligibility for the low- income program offered <br />at the Health District. <br />VAL <br />
