Paris —Lamar County Health District <br />400 West Sherman Street, Paris, Texas 75460 -5646 <br />r` Health District: (903) 785 -4561 <br />�y�«Nn Women, Infant and Children (WIC): (903) 784 -1411 <br />H,uxx dsrwcr <br />Fax: (903) 737 -0978 <br />www.parislamarhealth.com <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a Regular meeting at 5:31 p.m. on Monday, May 18th, <br />2015. <br />In attendance were Dr. Mark Gibbons, Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. William George, Dr. Keith House, Dr. Rick <br />Erickson, and Mrs. Kristi Graham. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge and Ms. Cheryl <br />Johnson. Dr. Lance Wyche was not in attendance. <br />Mr. Collins called the meeting to order in open session at 5:31 p.m. <br />Dr. Erickson made the motion and was seconded by Dr. George to approve the minutes from the prior <br />meeting. All approved. <br />Mrs. Gina Prestridge advised the board that she met with the City of Paris Fire Chief and City Manager <br />and Mr. John Godwin has agreed to pay for the chemicals to spray for mosquitoes since we only spray <br />inside the city limits. The Paris -Lamar County Health District will be responsible for paying the labor to <br />spray. Chemicals have been given to several City of Paris departments to help distribute in standing <br />water. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised that in May, the Paris -Lamar County Health District sent an eligibility clerk, a <br />translator, and the community health coordinator to the Downtown Food Pantry to visit and begin <br />screening for eligibility for the low- income program offered at the Health District. At the June visit, we <br />will screen and attempt to schedule appointments. <br />Mrs. Prestridge presented March printout showing that 1,480 patients had been seen at the WIC <br />office, 444 patients had been seen at the health district, 6 septic complaints, and 53 restaurants <br />inspections. Also, Mrs. Prestridge presented April printouts showing that 1,463 patients had been <br />seen at the WIC office, 507 patients had been seen at the health district, 0 septic complaints, and 41 <br />restaurants inspections. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised that we will need to see 1,000 patients, (not including immunization, flu, or tb <br />patients) within the next 5 months to reach our quota and to be eligible to receive the next DSRIP <br />payment. <br />Mr. Collins nominated Dr. Mark Gibbons to serve another three -year term and was seconded by Dr. <br />Keith House. All approved. Dr. Keith House nominated Ms. Nancy Stallings to replace Dr. George and <br />was seconded by Ms. Kristi Graham. All approved. Kristi Graham turned in her resignation letter to <br />resign effective May 19th, 2015, due to moving out of town. The board accepted her resignation letter. <br />All approved. Dr. Rick Erickson nominated Mrs. Sharmila Franklin to complete the unexpired term of <br />Ms. Kristi Graham and was seconded by Dr. Gibbons. All approved. <br />or!r <br />r r r VA <br />
