MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />June 22, 2015 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />June 22, 2015, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufrnan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; Benny Plata; Steve <br />Clifford; Matt Frierson; and Edwin Pickle <br />City Staff John Godwin, City Manager; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Kent McIlyar, City Attorney; <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Larry Wright, Fire Chief; <br />Bob Hundley, Police Chief; Director; Doug Harris, <br />Utilities Director; Shawn Napier, City Engineer; <br />Jerry McDaniel; and Priscilla McAnally, Library <br />Director <br />Opening Agenda <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Bob Bush gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Lancaster led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Ray Banks, 3450 Robin Road — he referenced item number 27 and said he had looked <br />over the bid and understood it came in over budget and they were trying to negotiate it down. He <br />questioned the large difference in cost of the valves between the two bidders and said there must <br />be an error. <br />Michael Glatfelter, 1345 S.E. 6'I' Street — he said efforts should be made to recover <br />money that disappeared from the PEDC, such as the R3bi project. He also said PEDC should be <br />shut down for one year and a new board put in place. <br />
