Item No. 7 <br />memorandum <br />TO: City Council <br />John Godwin, City Manager <br />FROM: Shawn Napier, P.E. <br />Director of Engineering, Planning & Development <br />SUBJECT: FARRIS 167 -A ADDITION FINAL PLAT <br />DATE: July 7, 2015 <br />BACKGROUND: Mr. & Mrs. DeWayne Farris own Lot 5A and part of 5 of City Block 167 <br />located in the 300 Block of SE Loop 286. It is located at the northeast corner of 3rd St. SE and <br />Loop 286 SE. The property currently has two different zonings, the southern majority of the <br />property is zoned Commercial (C) and the northern portion is zoned Agricultural (A). The future <br />land use map shows the entire lot to be zoned Commercial (C). The lot is served by water and <br />sewer mains along the Loop 286 frontage. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted to <br />approve the final plat by a vote of 5 -0 on July 6t', 2015. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The Farris family is proposing to expand the current business. They are <br />proposing to add an additional shop and storage area to the glass shop. It appears that the final <br />plat complies with the City of Paris subdivision regulations. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the final plat. <br />
