The City of Paris, Texas, Police Department is respectfully requesting $6,048.00 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. Budget. Year 1: 1. 1 Search and Rescue Drone $6000.00 TOTAL REQUEST $6,000.00 Narrative: The proposed expenditure will allow the City of Paris Police Department to acquire a search and rescue drone. This device will be used for photography of crime scenes, searching for missing people or eluding suspects. LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, SHERIFF'S OFFICE BUDGET NARRATIVE Amount Requested: The Lamar County, Texas, Sheriffs Office is respectfully requesting $6,441.50 of the total funds allocated to the disparate jurisdictions. Suicide Prevention Smocks $716.00 Total $6410.95 TOTAL REQUEST $6,118.50 Narrative: The proposed expenditure will allow the Lamar County Sheriff's office to provide equipment for sheriff's deputies. The digital in car system will be mounted in a patrol unit for day and night patrols. This system will be used to record events happening during traffic stops, crime scenes, interviewing of witnesses and suspects. This system will also aid the department in complying with the requirements of the state's racial profiling reporting requirements. The oximeter and suicide prevention smocks will be used in the county jail. The smocks will be used to prevent inmates from harming themselves or others. The oximeter will be used by the jail nurse for medical care of the inmates.
