The Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to approve and adopt Consent Agenda Items 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. 5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on July 27, 2009. 6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, commissions, and committees: a. Paris Historic Preservation Commission (6- 10 -09; 7 -8 -09) b. Planning & Zoning (7 -6 -09) 7. Deliberate on drainage ditch maintenance report. 8. Deliberate and act on bids for chemicals to be used at the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. 9. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -077: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2007-102 WHICH AUTHORIZED AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING FOR THE TEXAS CAPITAL FUND MAIN STREET PROGRAM FOR SIDEWALKAND OTHER IMPROVEMENT SIN THE DOWNTOWN AREA, TO CORRECT THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STATE DEPARTMENTS. Second reading, deliberate and possibly act on ORDINANCE NO. 2009 -027: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO REZONE LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 308, 1500 WEST WASHINGTON, CITY OF PARIS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (SF -2) TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD -b) HOUSING DEVELOPMENT OR COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTING A CHANGE ACCORDINGLY IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Council Member Rogers verified with Gene Anderson that there were no delinquent taxes owed on this property.
