Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -113: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A TOWER LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND NORTHEAST TEXAS RADIO OPERATIONS & COMMAND, INC. FOR PLACEMENT OF HAM RADIO EQUIPMENT ON THE EAST ELEVATED WATER TOWER SITE LOCATED AT 635 25m STREET NE TO PROVIDE AND AUGMENT EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE CITY OF PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Deliberate and act on RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -114: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; EXPRESSING OFFICIAL INTENT TO REIMBURSE COSTS OF PROJECT FOR SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FROM CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION TO BE ISSUED BY THE CITY AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO, MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by Council Member Rogers. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. 19. Deliberate on improvements to Stillhouse Road and public funding sources. Council Member Brown said he requested this item, because there was a need for a turn lane on Stillhouse Road. North Lamar Superintendent James Dawson said they were willing to give up some of their property to widen the road and expressed safety concerns. Shawn Napier referred City Council to page 94 of their packets with regard to cost estimates. Council decided to schedule this item for the next Agenda as an action item. 20. Deliberate and act on cancellation of the city council meetings scheduled for November 23, 2009 and December 28, 2009. A Motion to cancel the meetings for November 23, 2009 and December 28 2009 was made by Council Member McCarthy and seconded by Council Member Brown. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays.
