ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -006: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NO. <br />2005 -055, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 10TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2005, BE <br />AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />THAT A REFERENCE THEREIN TO BE CHANGED TO OMIT CERTAIN <br />WORDING; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCF5 OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Manning and seconded <br />by Council Member Ray. Motion carried, 5 ayes - 0 nays. <br />B. ORDINANCE NO. 2006 -007: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, : TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY <br />REVISING SECTIONS 16 -22, 16 -27, AND 16 -28 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING <br />FOR A NEW DEFINITION FOR BULK TRASH AND ESTABLISHING <br />GUIDELINES AND RATES FOR THE PICKUP OF BULKY TRASH; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO <br />THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Tony Williams informed Council that this Ordinance defines bulky waste and <br />addresses bulky waste that is in excess of two cubic yards. A customer who has an item in <br />excess of two cubic yards will be charged an additional $20.00 per cubic yard should they <br />want the City to pick up the item. Tony said he is aware that there is a number of rent <br />houses. He further stated that the City will work with the landlords when an eviction takes <br />place, if the landlord will inform the City -of such action. <br />Council Member Manning said the Ordinance does not address the tire problem or <br />address brush pick-up.
