FORFUTURE EXTENSIONS OF RUNWAYS AT COX FIELD AIRPORT IN PARIS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Manning and seconded by Council Member Ray. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. E. RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -008: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A REQUEST FOR WATER SERVICE TO THE AREA ALONG A PORTION OF 42' STREET S.E., A PRIVATE ROAD, BEGINNING AT OLD CLARKSVILLE STREET AND ENDING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HIGHWAY 271 SOUTH, WHICH COULD BE BEST SERVED BY A PRO RATA WATER EXTENSION BEGINNING AT OLD CLARKSVILLE STREET TO AN EXISTING MAIN; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Fendley informed Council that this item was previously tabled and asked for a motion to bring the item from the table. Upon a motion made by Council Member Ray and a second by Council Member Fisher, the Council voted seven -(7) for and none (0) opposed to remove this item from the table. The motion carried. Tony explained that property owners on one side of the street wanted water service and on the other side of the street was undeveloped land. The question was whether or not we could assess everyone in the cost of the water line, including owners who develop the land at a later date. Texas Municipal League assured us that we have the authority to charge all of the property owners. If you approve this item, a public hearing on an assessment will be set for February 13, 2006. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Ray and seconded by Council Member Wilson. Motion carried, 7 ayes - 0 nays. 8.
