SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />June 27, 2007 <br />000421 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special session at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, June <br />27, 2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Jesse James Freelen <br />Council Members: Will Biard; Mary Ann Fisher; Kevin Gray; <br />Stephen Brown; Don Wilson; and Bill <br />Strathern, Mayor Pro Tem <br />City Staff: Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent <br />Mellyar, City Attorney; and Janice Ellis, City <br />Clerk <br />1. Mayor Freelen called the meeting to order. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Wilson led the pledge. <br />3. Convene in Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code, <br />to discuss potential city manager candidates. <br />Mayor Freelen asked for a motion to convene into Executive Session. Council Member <br />Fisher made a Motion to convene into Executive Session and Council Member Wilson seconded the <br />Motion. Motion carried - 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Freelen convened Council into Executive Session at 4:06 p.m. <br />4. Reconvene in Open Session. <br />Mayor Freelen reconvened into open session at 5:59 p.m. <br />5. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, Council Member Biard made a Motion to adjourn and <br />Council Member Fisher seconded the Motion. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays.
