The Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to approve and <br />adopt the Consent Agenda, Items 6, 7, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, and 7E as follows: <br />6. Approval of minutes from previous City Council meetings. (12 -11 -2006; Special <br />Meeting, 12-15-2006; Special Meeting;. 12 -19 -2006; and Special Meeting 12 -27 -2006) <br />7. ORDINANCE NO. 2007 -001: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 7 OF THE CITY <br />CHARTER AND SECTION 43.142 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE, <br />DISANNEXING 727.75 ACRES OF LAND FORMING A PORTION OF THE <br />CURRENT OUTER BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF FM 905 AND FM <br />1507, IN RESPONSE TO A PETITION FOR SUCH DISANNEXATION FILED BY <br />17 PROPERTY OWNERS i INVOLVING 29 TRACTS OF LAND; MAKING A <br />FINDING WITH REGARD TO POTENTIAL REFUNDS OF PROPERTY TAXES TO <br />THE AFORESAID DISANNEXED LANDOWNERS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Manning referred Council to the information in their packets. Council Member <br />Wilson said the City provided fire and police; however, needed to install fire hydrants to better <br />serve the citizens.
