000281 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PARIS <br />March 6, 2007 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special session at 6:00 P. M. Tuesday, <br />March 6, 2007, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Richard Manning <br />Council Members: Tim Ray; Mary Ann Fisher, Mayor Pro <br />Tem; Kevin Gray; Jesse James Freelen; and <br />Don Wilson <br />City Staff Ernie Clark, Interim City Manager; Kent <br />McIlyar, City Attorney; and Janice Ellis, <br />City Clerk <br />Absent: Council Member: Curtis Fendley <br />1. Mayor Manning called the meeting to order. <br />Ernie Clark gave the invocation. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Ray led the pledge. <br />3. RESOLUTION NO. 2007-032: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE REVISED <br />BALLOT FOR THE PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENTS ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A "; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ernie Clark reported to Council that Kent McIlyar and Janice Ellis had reviewed the <br />propositions and to alleviate conflict, several were re- worded. He also reported that two of the <br />propositions were combined, resulting in seventy propositions. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Freelen and seconded by <br />Council Member Fisher. Motion carried, 6 ayes - 0 nays. <br />4. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, Council Member Fisher made a Motion to adj ourn and <br />Council Member Freelen seconded the Motion. The meeting was adjourned at 6:06 p.m. <br />
