05"1 WHEREAS, the Paris Economic Development Corporation has received competitive bids for the construction of said street improvements upon the right -of -way owned by the City of Paris and seeks authorization from the City Council of the City of Paris to perform said construction upon said City -owned right -of -way; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris desires to authorize said construction, at the sole cost and expense of the Paris Economic Development Corporation, subject to the conformance of said construction with all applicable City ordinances, codes, regulations, and specifications, and subject to the approval of City inspectors; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the Paris Economic Development Corporation shall be, and is hereby, authorized to perform all work necessary, at its sole cost and expense, to construct the extension of Hearne Street on City -owned right -of -way from 1st Street S.W. to 4th Street S.W. in order to improve access for large trucks necessary to serve various industries adjacent to said street improvements, including Delta Logistics, Rodgers -Wade Manufacturing, and various warehouses, and at the same time alleviating large truck traffic on adjacent residential streets.. Section 3. That construction of said street improvements as authorized herein shall be, and is hereby, conditioned upon conformance by the PEDC with all applicable City ordinances, codes, regulations, and specifications associated therewith, and subject to the review and approval by appropriate City inspectors.. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
