At that time, the Greater Paris Foundation
will offer the City a 99 year lease of the trail property for $1.00.
Mayor Fendley said the trail initially will be almost 3 miles, with future. plans
to extend it west. Robert Slider of Lamar County Leadership said they had a
meeting to get the right of ways to go all the way to the Loop on the west side
and then north and south.
Mayor Fendley said that it is important for recruiting industry to improve the
quality of life in Paris.
