Design capacity of wastewater treatment plant(s): 7,250,000 gallons <br />2. Briefly describe the wastewater system(s) of the area serviced by the water <br />utility. Describe how treated wastewater is disposed of Where <br />applicable, identify treatment plant(s) with the TNRCC name and number, <br />the operator, owner, and, if wastewater is discharged, the receiving stream. <br />Please provide a sketch or map which locates the plant(s) and discharge <br />points or disposal sites. <br />The City of Paris owns and operates one wastewater treatment plant <br />located 6 miles north of the City of Paris and 1/4 mile east of <br />Hwy 271 North in Lamar County, TX. The 7.25 MCD treatment plant <br />utilizes extended aeration, activated sludge and bio -tower trickling <br />filter treatment methods. Discharge is to Nicks Creek, thence to Pine <br />Creek, thence to segment 0202 of the Red River Basin by TNRCC <br />permit li 10479 -002 and NPDES permit 0 TX0027910. The Class "A" sludge <br />is land applied for beneficial use by permit on 152 acres used for <br />cattle grazing and hay production. See Attached map. <br />Page 6 <br />
