330 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 -002 <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Infrastructure Fund Board provides funding for non - competitive <br />TIFB grants for public libraries to enhance existing base -level Internet connections; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application on behalf of the Paris Public Library to expand to three public access Internet <br />workstations, said grant being in the amount of $7,600.00, requiring no matching funds; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />1. That an application be made to the Texas Infrastructure Fund Board for a TIFB <br />grant in the amount of $7,600.00, requiring no matching funds. <br />2. That Beverly Lewis, Library Director, be, and she is hereby, appointed as the <br />Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City <br />of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />3. That Ron Hervey, Electronic Reference Librarian, be, and he is hereby, appointed <br />as Project Director and is authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, all <br />reports, communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized and <br />directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute funds for <br />purposes of the Paris Public Library expanding to three public access Internet workstations. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January, 1999. <br />(1�"Ao / <br />0'r7' 'e';4'4'X1 k4'e'4", <br />arles H.
