The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and delivery of one <br />(1) 1999 automobile for the Criminal Investigation Division of the Police Department, <br />and the following bids were presented: <br />Lowry Chevrolet -Olds- Cadillac $20,631.00 <br />Lawrence Marshall Dealerships $19,164.00 <br />City Manager Malone advised that another bid had been received, but it did not meet <br />specifications. There were four other dealers furnished a bid form but did not <br />respond. City Manager Malone advised that the Lawrence Marshall Dealership bid <br />a 1999 Grand Prix meeting all specifications and they have the lowest bid and the <br />bid is under the budgeted amount. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Thomas, seconded by <br />Councilman Gray, awarding the bid to Lawrence Marshall Dealership in the amount <br />of $19,164.00. The motion carried 6 ayes 1 nay, Mayor Neeley voting no. <br />Mayor Neeley called for the tabulation of bids for furnishing and delivery of One (1) <br />1999 automobile for the Patrol Division of the Police Department. <br />City Manager Malone advised that only one bid had been received, that being from <br />Kennedy Ford - Lincoln- Mercury in the amount of $20,923.60. City Manager Malone <br />further advised that bid requests were sent to 6 other companies. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clifford, seconded by Councilman Gray, to <br />award the bid to Kennedy Ford - Lincoln- Mercury in the amount of $20,923.60. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Mayor Neeley voting no. <br />Resolution No. 99 -001, accepting the bid of the Liberty National Bank in Paris to act <br />as City Depository for the period beginning March 1, 1999, and ending February 28, <br />2001, and authorizing and directing the Mayor, Charles H. Neeley, to execute the <br />contract with Liberty National Bank in Paris to act as depository for the City of Paris <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Clifford, seconded by Mayor Pro <br />Tern Thomas, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
