1. 911 Fulbright to award the bids for one floating fire pump for the City of Paris Fire Department to Casco Industries, in the amount of $1,375.00. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone called for tabulation of bids for furnishing and delivery of Quotations for Vehicle Service for the City of Paris, and the following bids were presented: Star Express Lube $ 15,268.80 Bill Bass Tire $25,168.92 Quik & E -Z Lube $13,558.00 Kwik Kar Lube & Tune $14,864.00 City Manager Malone advised that it was the recommendation of B. A. Huddleston to award the bid to Quik & E -Z Lube in the amount of $13,558.00. Jan Sanlan, owner of Kwik Kar Lub & Tune, appeared before the Council stating that she received the invitation for bid, and on the bid is specifically said all responding bidders must furnish filter manufacturers literature confirming compliance with OEM standards. Ms. Sanlan said she was present at the bid opening on January 270`, and she was the only one that complied with this, and wanted to know if this means anything to the Council that they were the only one that complied with this? After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Boyd, seconded by Councilman Fulbright to table action of this item. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 98 -018, authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, to execute Special Warranty Deeds to the adjacent property owners on either side of the closed alley located between 60' Street S. E. and 8" Street S. E. and between Washington Street and Hearon Street from the east boundary line of 6h Street S. E. east to the west boundary line of 80` Street S. E., was presented. A motion by Councilman Boyd, seconded by Councilman Thomas for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays.
