X20 <br />the needs of customers and the community they serve. <br />City Manager Malone announced that Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bush, 2335 Hubbard, <br />requesting that the Lamar County Humane Association be excluded from the <br />payment of -«ie $15.00 fee to obtain an animal at the City of Paris Animal <br />Shelter, was i ) appear, but was not present at this time. <br />Mayor Clifford advised the Council that he asked this matter be placed on the <br />agenda, and basically the Humane Association when they remove an animal from <br />the Animal Shelter and process it for adoption, the City has been charging them <br />$15.00. Mayor Clifford said he told Mr. Bush that it would be proper for the <br />City to waive the fee as they are doing all the work. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Fulbright <br />authorizing the preparation of an ordinance reducing Texas Utilities Electric <br />Company's retail base rate and amount thereof, providing an effective date <br />therefor, providing conditions under which the rate schedules and service <br />regulations of Texas Utilities Electric Company may be changed, modified, <br />amended or withdrawn. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Boyd <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance granting relief to the Lamar County <br />Humane Association from the payment of the $15.00 impounding fee.
