#w 893 <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for fezoning: Mary <br />Gaynell Ottinger, Lot 10, City Block 255 -A from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2 to a Multiple Family Dwelling District No 1; Essie Marie Moore, <br />Lot 3, Block P, East Park Addition from a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 <br />to a Neighborhood Service District; Don Nabors, Part of Lot 1, City Block 304 <br />from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a One Family Dwelling District <br />No. 3; Anthony Nolan, Lot 10, City Block 60, from a Two Family Dwelling <br />District to a Commercial District. <br />Mayor. Clifford referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning Commission for <br />their study and recommendation at their meeting March 2, 1998, and for a public <br />hearing before the City Council March 9, 1998. <br />City Manager Malone reported to the Council that the City has received a <br />$1,200,000.00 grant for the Depot Project, and there has been a committee <br />receiving input from the public regarding possible usage of the structure once <br />it has been restored. City Manager Malone said they had a deadline for <br />submission of recommendations of Wednesday of this week, and they will be <br />considering those recommendations. In the mean time, the City has been <br />fortunate to be able to get the Buster Cole Unit of Bonham State Prison to <br />furnish the City with some of the prisoners to do clean -up work at the Depot <br />along with Public Works and Engineering out there trying to locate some of the <br />stoppage in the old drainage system that drains the water away from the <br />building. <br />City Manager Malone also reported that Terry Townsend has a project underway <br />to landscape around the fountain, there has been shrubs that were root - bound, <br />and some were dead„ and they are being removed. The Plan is to keep all the <br />crape myrtles and restore with new landscaping in the near future with smaller <br />shrubs with more color and lots of flowers in order to improve the fountain area. <br />City Manager Malone advised that the water and sewer rate study will be <br />reviewed again at the up- coming Monday night City Council Meeting, along <br />with a public hearing. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ERIC S.
