Mayor Clifford called for the City Attorney's report and there was none. <br />Mayor Clifford called for the City Manager's report. City Manager Malone mentioned <br />the memorandum that he had given to each of the Councilmembers prior to the <br />meeting from the Chief of Police announcing the achievement of an overall 15.2% <br />decrease in crime. He said that the report reflects that each category is down <br />substantially. Mr. Malone said in recent years the City Council has dedicated <br />additional resources, manpower and equipment to this area and this report <br />demonstrates that the Police Department has utilized these resources in a very <br />efficient manner. City Manager Malone and Mayor Eric Clifford commended the <br />Chief and all of his department on this achievement. <br />Councilman Neeley recommended to the Mayor that a resolution be placed on the <br />February 10, 1997 Council Meeting Agenda commending the entire City Justice <br />System. City Attorney Haynes stated that a resolution could be presented at that <br />time. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned. <br />Eric S.
