A <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -016 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did heretofore in Ordinance No. <br />96 -047, on September 9, 1996, approve the purchase of labor and materials for servicing <br />City of Paris vehicles. Bids were received until 3:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, January 21, <br />1997; and, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such service was made by QUICK & E -Z LURE, 300 <br />Pine Bluff Street, Paris, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for providing such service; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for providing such service is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A, and such form should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that <br />the bid of QUICK & E-Z LUBE, for furnishing of labor and materials and performing all <br />work required for servicing City of Paris vehicles is hereby accepted and let, conditioned <br />upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid <br />documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for <br />furnishing of labor and materials and performing all work required for servicing City of <br />Paris vehicles, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto with QUICK & E-Z LUBE. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of February, 1997. <br />Eric S. Haynes, Ci y Attorney <br />Resolution No. 97 -017, referring a list of named structures that are in <br />an unsafe and dilapidated condition and constitute a fire hazard and a <br />hazard to the life and welfare of the inhabitants of the area to the <br />Building Hazard Inspection Committee, and ordering them to hold a <br />hearing to determine the condition of the structures, was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilwoman Elder, seconded by Councilwoman <br />McDonald for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />
