ESME VTIAL <br />COCC`ECT`10N POC`1C14 <br />THE CITY OF PARIS WILL PROVIDE TWICE - WEEKLY RESIDENTIAL TRASH <br />COLLECTION TO RESIDENCES OF PARIS HAVING A WATER METER AND PAYING A <br />MONTHLY RESIDENTIAL SANITATION CHARGE, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING <br />GUIDELINES: <br />1. Zone 1 will be collected on Monday and Thursday. Zone 2 will be <br />collected on Tuesday and Friday (see map). <br />2. Items for collection must be placed together at the curb or <br />roadside on city right -of -way no later than 7:30 A.M. on any <br />regular collection day. DO R= PLACE TRASIi AT STREET PRIOR TO PICK <br />UP. DAY, <br />3. Household garbage or trash should be placed in properly secured <br />disposable plastic bags. <br />4. Properly secured disposable bags will be removed from rigid or <br />semi -rigid containers. All containers will be left at the point <br />of collection. For health and safety reasons, garbage that is <br />loose in containers will not be collected. <br />5. Brush cut in 3 foot lengths and tied in small bundles will be <br />picked up on regular collection days. <br />6. No more than a total of six (6) disposable bags or brush bundles <br />will be collected on any regular collection day. <br />7. The weight limit for disposable bags or brush bundles is fifty <br />(50) pounds. <br />8. BULK ITEMS PICKUP: Bulk items shall be stacked neatly at curb side <br />and will be collected every Wednesday. Residents must place their <br />request for this service by contacting the Public Works Office, <br />785 -7511, during regular office hours. These requests will be <br />received until 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday before the Wednesday pickup. <br />BULK STEM EXAMPLES: tree limbs cut in 5 foot lengths and no more <br />than 6 inches in diameter, as well as bagged leaves, furniture, <br />appliances, carpet, rugs, tires (no rims), etc. <br />9. BULK IT04S NOT PICKED UP: The City crews do not pick up <br />construction /demolition debris. EXAMPLES: lumber, brick, <br />concrete, shingles, timbers, fencing, or major vehicle parts, <br />batteries or fluids. FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY REASONS, THE- <br />CITY DOES NOT PICK UP CAUSTIC, CORROSIVE, EXPLOSIVE, TOXIC, OR <br />FLAMMABLE ITEMS. ANIMAL OR HUMAN WASTE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. <br />10. Trash will not be collected on official holidays observed by the <br />City of Paris- -New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, <br />Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and <br />the day following Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve and <br />Christmas Day. <br />1 <br />i <br />
