Box 12607 <br />Austin, Texas 78711 <br />Dear Mr. Fulton: <br />CITE 01-F PARISH <br />The City of Paris by this letter and accompanying resolution <br />indicates its intent to pursue financial assistance from the Texas <br />Department of Transportation for the installation of lighted <br />guidance signs at Cox Field Airport. <br />The cost of these improvements is presently estimated to be <br />$75,050. The City of Paris understands that state financial <br />assistance may be available for 90 percent of the eligible costs. <br />The remaining share of eligible costs and any ineligible costs <br />shall be the responsibility of the City of Paris. The City of <br />Paris further understands that all or a portion of its share may be <br />due in cash upon Texas Department of Transportation request, and <br />that this may occur as early as-March 1, 1994. <br />The City of Paris also indicates its intent to enter into an <br />Airport Project Participation Agreement with the Texas Department <br />of Transportation, naming the Texas Department of Transportation as <br />its agent for the purposes of receiving and disbursing all funds <br />for these improvements and for the administration of contracts <br />necessary for the implementation of these improvements. The City <br />of Paris has reviewed the text of the Texas Department of <br />Transportation's standard "Airport Project Participation <br />Agreement," and has found the terms and conditions of the Agreement <br />to be acceptable. <br />Sincerely, <br />Michael E. Brock as a member of the <br />Paris -Lamar County Board of Health, to serve the unexpired term of Dr. <br />M. Thomas Cutrell, which ends December 31, 1994, was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman Brown <br />for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
