RESOLUTION NO. 93 -013 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has <br />become aware of the traffic congestion at the intersection of <br />Lamar Avenue and Collegiate Drive caused by the existing <br />limitation of two moving traffic lanes only for the east <br />bound traffic on Lamar Avenue; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is perceived that the addition of a right <br />turn lane for east bound traffic on Lamar Avenue to use in <br />turning south on Collegiate Drive would alleviate the <br />congestion of east bound traffic at this intersection; and, <br />WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of the City of Paris for the City Council to support <br />a project to add a right turn lane for east bound traffic on <br />Lamar Avenue at the intersection of Collegiate Drive; NOW <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'TILE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that they go on record as being in complete support of Texas <br />Department of Transportation project entitled, "Business 82 <br />at Collegiate Street in Paris, Lamar County, CSJ 004509059 "; <br />and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City <br />of Paris be and she is hereby directed to furnish certified <br />copies of this resolution to Bob L. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, <br />seconded by Councilman Williams excusing Councilman Brown. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays, and Councilman Brown departed the Council <br />Chambers. <br />Resolution No. 93 -014, accepting the donation of a Utility and Drainage <br />Easement from Phillip A. McKinney to the City of Paris, was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Burnett <br />for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
