City Manager advised the recommendation of the Fire Chief, and City <br />Engineer was to award the bids to Business Equipment Sales & Supply <br />Company in the amount of $1,493.85. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />awarding the bid to Business Equipment Sales & Supply in the amount of <br />$1,493.85. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for two <br />Computers for the Fire Department, and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />IBM $4,534.00 <br />Computer Services $3,740.00 <br />Bessco $3,406.0 <br />Oak Creek Systems $3,338.50 <br />The recommendations of City Staff was the bid of IBM even though it was <br />the highest bid. The City has an ongoing maintenance agreement which <br />ensures fast and reliable service. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Kent <br />awarding the bid for two computers to IBM in the amount of $4,534.00. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 90 -001 resolving by the City Council of the City of <br />Paris, that the offer of 157.768 acres of land to the City of Paris by <br />Walter Rosson and Wife, Pasty Bell Rosson, dated December 28, 1989, be <br />accepted and the purchase and procurement of the same is hereby <br />approved and ratified was presented. A motion was- made by Councilman <br />Fendley for approval of the resolution. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham and carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />n <br />
