E <br />SECTION 3 <br />MOBILE UNITS <br />Mobile radio units shall be designed and constructed as a rugged, <br />versatile, technically advanced state of the art FM two -way radio <br />operating in the 440 -470 Mliz. band. It shall be synthesized, wideband, <br />PC programmable, ruggedized (meeting MIL 810 C & D, U:S. Forest <br />Service and LIA specifications for operation in adverse environments), <br />capable of both tone and digital coded squelch operation on a per <br />channel basis, minimum of 2 channel capability (field expandable to <br />10 channel with dual priority channel scan) .
