RESOLUTION NO. 90 -008 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, in <br />its regular council meeting on February 8, 1988, by <br />Resolution No. 88 -011, resolve to provide its wholehearted <br />support to the establishment of an enhanced 9 -t -1 Emergency <br />Telephone System and the implementation of the 9 -1 -1 fee and <br />surcharge in the City of Paris and chose to participate in <br />the 9 -1 -1 regional plan in accordance with Article 1432f; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the State 9 -1 -1 Commission requires that a <br />Cooperative Working Agreement be in place prior to the <br />systems being operational; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that the <br />Cooperative Working Agreement for the 9 -1 -1 Emergency <br />Communication System for Lamar County, in the form of Exhibit <br />A attached hereto and made a part hereof which should be <br />approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the form of Cooperative Working Agreement for the 9 -1 -1 <br />Emergency Communication System, attached hereto as Exhibit A, <br />be, and the same is hereby approved; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City ,Manager of the <br />City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of <br />Paris the Cooperative Working Agreement for implementing the <br />911 Emergency Communication System for Lamar County, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of February, 1990. <br />Eric .
