RESOLUTION NO'. 89, -008 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. 88 -037, passed and adopted on <br />the 11th day of April, 1988, and revised in Resolution No. <br />88 -102, passed and adopted on the 10th day of October, 1988, <br />authorize the processing of an application for grant from <br />the Texas Department of Commerce for the purpose of reha- <br />bilitation of substandard units in compliance with the Texas <br />Rental Rehabilitation Program;. and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris was <br />authorized to execute and process an application for <br />$300,000.00, being a 100% grant; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Commerce has offered a <br />contract for a rental rehabilitation program, being Contract <br />No. R88006 with an effective date of January 2, 1989, being <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of the contract with Texas Department <br />of Commerce is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form <br />should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />. BE IT .RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />1. That the form of Contract No. R88006, in the total <br />amount of $300,000.00 with the Texas Department of Commerce, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A is in all things approved. <br />2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. <br />Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract <br />in the form of Exhibit A attached hereto. <br />Passed-and adopted this <br />ATTEST: <br />Mattie Cunningham, City Cler <br />APPROVED S TO FORM: <br />T.
