01.10 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-033 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did in <br />Resolution No. 86 -017 on February 24, 1986 approve the <br />advertisement for bids for furnishing plant, labor, <br />materials and equipment and performing all work required for <br />the construction of the 33 -Inch Treated Water Pipeline from <br />City of Paris Lake Crook Water Treatment Plant south to <br />Campbell Soup Plant, which bids were received until 10:00 <br />o'clock A.M., Monday, March 24, 1986; and, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by <br />Lightning Construction Company, Inc., P. 0. Box 176, <br />Seagoville, Texas, and it should be awarded the bid for such <br />construction; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction <br />project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form <br />should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Bid of Lightning Construction Company, Inc. <br />in the amount of $700,080.00 for bid items 1 through 13, is <br />hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor <br />meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the <br />bid documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, George Fisher, Jr., be, and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the <br />contract for the construction of the 33 -Inch Treated Water <br />Pipeline, upon the terms and conditions and in the form <br />shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Lightning <br />Construction Company, Inc. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of April, 1986. <br />eo ge is er, Jr., Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />attie Cunningham, 'ty Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />T.
