01 J 'J <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MAY 5, 1986 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris met Monday, May 5, <br />1986 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas with the <br />following members present: <br />1. Freddy Swaim - Chairman <br />2. Ozzie Battle <br />3. Charles Christian <br />4. Bill Davidson <br />5. Bruce Mc Monigle <br />Also present were John Buss, Director of Engineering, David Tompkins, City <br />Engineer and Joe Mc Collum, Director of Community Development. <br />Chairman Swaim called the meeting to order and the minutes of April 7, 1986 <br />were approved as presented. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of Danny - <br />Easely for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF -2) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) and Specific Use Per- <br />mit- Mobile Home (39) on Lot 21, City Block 83 located at 561 10th N.W. <br />Mr. Easely told the Commission that he wanted to remove the house that is <br />on the lot and replace it with a mobile home to be used as his residence. <br />Mr. Mc Monigle ask if there were -other mobile homes in the area. Mr. Mc Collum <br />advised that there were two or three on the same street which were there prior <br />to the current ordinance and two others that had received specific use permits <br />since 1981. <br />There was no one else present to speak on the matter and the public hearing <br />was closed. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Christian, seconded by Mrs. Battle to recommend <br />approval of the petition. The motion carried 5 ayes O nays. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of John Clay <br />for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) to a Light <br />Industrial District (LI) on Lot 24, City Block 160, located on the northwest <br />corner of 5th S.E. and Jackson Street. <br />Mr. Mc Collum read a letter from the applicant requesting that the petition <br />be tabled pending the satisfactory clearance of title to the property. <br />No one else was present to speak on this matter. <br />
