0 i 82 <br />John Buss, Director of 'Engineering, and Tom K1ucK, City Engineer, <br />appeared before the Council and discussed the construction and <br />expenditures for the offices and laboratory at the Water Treatment <br />Plant, and the City's contractual obligations. <br />Councilman Bone withdrew his motion to hold up construction of the <br />upstairs offices and laboratory pending a special Council meeting June <br />10, 1986, 5:15 P. M. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Francis <br />for approval of Resolution No. 86 -048 for Change Order #3 to the <br />Contract with the Heritage Constructor's, Inc. for Additions to the <br />Water Treatment Plant. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City tanager Doty presented a request from Logan - Slough CreeK <br />I <br />mprovement District to lease a city owned Dragline that was used at <br />the City Landfill. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wortham to deny the <br />request to lease a city owned Dragiine and instructed the staff to <br />bring the Dragiine in, clean it up, and place on the city lot. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Francis and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for consideration and action the purchase of <br />replacement shafts at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Councilman <br />Francis made a motion to reject the request until plans and <br />specifications could be developed to establish safety measures. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Wortham and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett advised the Council for the need of consideration and <br />action on the extending the contract with Lamar County for Ambulance <br />Service. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that the County had given the <br />City a verbal notice that they wish to contract for an additional term, <br />but at this time we do not have a written request. No action was taken <br />at this time. <br />mc. <br />Resolution No. 84 -049 declaring the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee findings at their hearing to determine the condition of <br />certain structures as being unsafe and dilapidated condition and <br />constitutes a fire hazard.and a hazard to the life and welfare of the <br />inhabitants of the area and to notify such owners whose residences are <br />not Known by publishing the same in the newspaper as required by law, <br />and after such hearing to report their findings to the City Council in <br />accordance with Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances in <br />the City of Paris was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Hoag, seconded by Councilman Folmar for approval of the Resolution. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
