0208 0 RESOLUTION NO. 86 -052 WHEREAS, the City of Paris is eligible to make applica- tion for funds for funding under the Texas Community Development Program which is funded by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris has numerous community development projects for which local funds have not been available; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, as follows: 1. That an application be made for funding under the Texas Community Development Program, such application to be considered under Area Revitalization Fund, in the amount of $545,600.00. 2. That such application address the following activities: (1) Paving of Campbell Street from 7th N.W. to 19th N.W. (2) Installation of 10 inch water main in Campbell Street right -of -way from 7th N.W. to 13th N.W. (3) Rehabilitation of 18 owner occupied homes. (4) Administration of project. 3. That such Area Revitalization Fund project be complimented by the installation of a 10 inch water main in Campbell Street from 7th N.W. to 13th N.W., engineering, and right -of -way acquisition and a part of paving of Campbell Street from 7th N.W. to 19th N.W. and rehabilitation of 18 owner occupied homes, at an estimated cost of $150,400.00 to be funded from .existing City funds which are committed, budgeted and authorized. 4. That, David H. Doty, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Paris all necessary applications, communications, instruments, assurances and documents required for the completion of said project. 5. That Joe N. McCollum, Director of Community Development, has heretofore been appointed Project Director for Community Development Block Grant Projects and is appointed as such director for this Texas Community Development Program.
