RESOLUTION NO. 86 -006 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular. meeting on August 12, 1985, approve the adver- tisement for bids for supplying and installing UHF communication equipment for the City of Paris, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Friday, December 6, 1985; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such equipment and installa- tion was made by Airwaves Communications, Inc. 4801 Lamar Ave., Paris, Texas 75460 and it should be awarded the bid for such equipment and installation; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract for such equipment and installation is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved; and, WHEREAS, AirWaves Communications Inc., has requested that all payments under said contract be made payable jointly to Lamar National Bank and AirWaves Communications, Inc., and it is agreeable that the assurance of the same made in Exhibit B, attached hereto, is proper and should be ratified; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Bid of AirWaves Communications, Inc. in the amount of $147,293.00, is hereby accepted and let condi- tioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, Jr., be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for supplying and intalling UHF communication equipment, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto; with AirWaves Communications, Inc.; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the assurances heretofore given by the Director of Finance in the from of Exhibit B, attached hereto, is ratified.
