MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETIN6 OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />March 24, 1986 <br />• <br />O• . <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Monday, <br />March 24, 1986, 5:15 P. M. Mayor Fisher called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilmen present: Billy J. Burnett, Jeff Hoog, <br />and Mike Folmar. Also present were City Manager, David H. Doty, City <br />Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open to consider a Pro Rata <br />Extension for Construction approximately 3,400 lineal feet of water <br />line beginning at Fitzhugh Avenue's intersection with Clement Road, <br />running northerly with said Fitzhugh Avenue to Loop 286 N. E.; thence <br />in a Westerly direction with said Loop 286 N. E. to an existing casing; <br />thence under Loop 286 N. E. through the existing casing to an existing <br />10" main, which extension would serve the area adjacent thereto and the <br />area bounded on the South by Loop 286 N. E., on the East by Stillhouse <br />Road, on the North by the City Limit Line and on the West by North Main <br />Street. <br />Mayor Fisher called for anyone to speak in favor of the Pro Rata <br />Extension, and none appeared. <br />Mayor Fisher called for anyone in opposition to the Pro Rata Extension. <br />Mr. W. R. Abbott appeared before the Council requesting information <br />regarding property on the north side of Abbott's Furniture as to how <br />the Pro Rata Extension would effect his property. <br />Councilman Wilson entered the Council Chambers and assumed his seat at <br />the Council table. <br />City Manager Doty explained that it would depend on the size of water <br />meter installed as to the cost that would have to be paid by Mr. Abbott. <br />Walter Williams entered the Council Chambers and assumed his seat at <br />the Council table. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing closed. <br />Resolution No. 86 -02? authorizing and directing the City Manager, David <br />H. Doty to proceed with the Pro Rata Water Main Extension beginning at <br />Fitzhugh Avenue's intersection with Clement Road running Northerly with <br />said Fitzhugh Avenue to Loop 286 N. W; thence in a Westerly direction <br />with said Loop 286 N. E. to an existing casing; thence under Loop 286 <br />N. E. through the existing casing to an existing 10" main was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman.Wilson for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried ? <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />0 <br />
