REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 10, 1983. was presented. ORDINANCE NO. 83 -026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12 -12 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PERMITTING PROCEDURE FOR OUTSIDE FIRES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1983. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 4 ayes, 3 nays, Councilman McWaters, Councilman Williams and Council- man Fisher voting nay. City Manager Doty advised the Council of the need for the appointment of an Audit Firm to audit the City's accounts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1983. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Williams to accept proposals in the June 1983 Council meeting. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Doty presented a proposed project list for the Federal Urban Systems Project. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Bell to accept recommenda- tions of the Staff for the Federal Urban System priorities. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Graham voting nay. Mayor Graham announced that the Council would go into executive session to discuss legal matters with the City Attorney, and the regular session was declared closed, and the executive session open. Legal matters were discussed with the City Attorney. The executive session was declared closed and the regular session open. City Manager Doty presented a request from the Lamar County Water Supply Corporation for an extension of their line through the eastern City limits of the City and into extraterritorial jurisdiction in the area of FM 1508 and Highway 271 East. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Bell to approve the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Doty presented a request from George Spencer for water service outside the City limits approximately 212 miles N. W. of Paris. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
