A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by <br />Councilman Bell for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 83 -026 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION <br />12 -12 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PERMITTING PROCEDURE FOR OUTSIDE <br />FIRES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1983. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by <br />Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />4 ayes, 3 nays, Councilman McWaters, Councilman Williams and Council- <br />man Fisher voting nay. <br />City Manager Doty advised the Council of the need for the appointment <br />of an Audit Firm to audit the City's accounts for the fiscal year <br />ending June 30, 1983. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, <br />seconded by Councilman Williams to accept proposals in the June <br />1983 Council meeting. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Doty presented a proposed project list for the Federal <br />Urban Systems Project. After discussion, a motion was made by <br />Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Bell to accept recommenda- <br />tions of the Staff for the Federal Urban System priorities. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Graham voting nay. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the Council would go into executive <br />session to discuss legal matters with the City Attorney, and the <br />regular session was declared closed, and the executive session open. <br />Legal matters were discussed with the City Attorney. <br />The executive session was declared closed and the regular session <br />open. <br />City Manager Doty presented a request from the Lamar County Water <br />Supply Corporation for an extension of their line through the <br />eastern City limits of the City and into extraterritorial jurisdiction <br />in the area of FM 1508 and Highway 271 East. After discussion, <br />a motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Bell <br />to approve the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Doty presented a request from George Spencer for water <br />service outside the City limits approximately 212 miles N. W. of <br />Paris. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams approving the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
