Sec. 300gg -21, which exempts the City of <br />Paris from the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and <br />Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Public Health Service Act (PHS), was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro <br />Tem, Manning, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />
