<br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that the Trans Tex Supply Company be awarded the
<br />purchase in the amount of $34,055.00. A motion was made by Councilman Williams,
<br />seconded by Councilman Wortham approving the recommendation of the City Manager.
<br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for the purchase of a Civil
<br />Defense Warning System and the following bids were presented:
<br />Ken's Communications, Inc., Wylie $112,544.00
<br />Fite Appliance Co., Wichita Falls no bid
<br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that Resolution be passed authorizing a contract
<br />with Ken's Communications Inc., in the amount of $112,544.00. City Attorney
<br />Haynes presented the Resolution authorizing a contract with Ken's Communications,
<br />Inc., in the amount of $112,544.00. After discussion, a motion was made by Council-
<br />man Francis, seconded by Councilman McGee to table any action on the Resolution.
<br />The motion carried 6 ayes 1 nay, Councilman Graham voting nay.
<br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for the purchase of a Tractor Mower
<br />for Cox Field and the following bids were presented:

<br />LaRue Ford $5,000.00
<br />Glass Implement $5,900.00
<br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that the bid of LaRue Ford be approved in the
<br />amount of $5,000.00. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by
<br />Councilman Francis awarding the bid to LaRue Ford, in the amount of $5,000.00.
<br />The motion carried 6 ayes,0 nays, Councilman Kohls abstaining.
<br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for the purchase of a Vertical
<br />Turbine Pump at Pat Mayse Lake, and the following bids were presented:

<br />City Manager Sokoll recommended that the bid of Sepco be accepted in the amount

<br />Resolution No. 2115 authorizing the Mayor of the City of Paris to enter into a
<br />contract with Sepco Inc., for furnishing and installing one raw water pump at
<br />Pat Mayse Lake was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Graham to table
<br />any action until the public hearing on the tax increase. The motion failed for
<br />a lack of a second. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Council-
<br />man !,Jortham approving the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Council-
<br />man Graham voting nay.
